Simple documentation for domestic workers and their employers
One of the most common issues domestic workers experience is wage theft. Each pay period, it is important to track what you are owed and what you are paid. We put together a simple template for payslips that either an employee or an employer can use to document wages.
It's easy to personalise, and once complete, print two copies: one for your records and one for your employer's. If you have not received the full amount owed and documented on the payslip, do not sign the payslip. See our common scenarios section for more details on what to do in the event of nonpayment.
