Role Description: 

We are looking for undergraduate or postgraduate students who are interested in working with our Programmes Team in supporting our MeHeal Mental Health programme or HELPing Hands Educational programme. Under the oversight of the Head of Programmes, you will be given the opportunity to gain invaluable first-hand experience to:

• Support in the organising and implementing of, but not limited to, MeHeal Mental Health programme or HELPing Hands Educational programme
• Assist in volunteer management
• Assist in HELP’s beneficiaries’ and community leaders’ engagement
• Assist in monitoring projects and drafting periodic reports
• Assist in developing long and short-term project ideas, including research to strengthen and expand the existing HELP programmes 
• Undertake other administrative tasks and project activities as may be assigned from time to time. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken). The ability to speak Cantonese, Filipino, Bahasa Indonesia, or Sinhala is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently but knows when to ask for support.
• Is familiar with Google Workspace and Canva.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and meet deadlines. 
• Strong attention to detail is crucial for accurate record-keeping and data management.
• A solid academic background with an interest in the non-profit sector.
• Has a good team player with a “can-do” attitude.

Available to start on the week of 22 April 2024 and can work flexibly from Monday to Friday (10 am to 6 pm) for a minimum of 24 hours per week plus occasional Sundays, weekly working hours and end dates are negotiable.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship.

Location: 

HELP’s office is in Room 606, 299QRC, 287-299 Queen’s Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. The candidate should be a Hong Kong resident and can work remotely. 

Internship Period:

A minimum of 3 months internship with a minimum of 24 hours per week plus occasional Sundays. The internship may be part-time or full-time. Weekly working hours and end dates are negotiable.
