“When I heard the news I was actually really devastated. I couldn’t imagine and it’s probably something that not many people have stopped to think about as this crisis has persisted.”
Despite her stature in the global financial community and her place of privilege in Hong Kong, Julie Koo has been relentlessly working on the ground in the cold and rain to help stranded migrant domestic workers in providing for whatever they may need. HELP for Domestic Workers is privileged to have a board member who volunteered day in and day out supporting the team.
We remain grateful to the South China Morning Post SCMP for highlighting the role of Hong Kongers and the wider global community in helping domestic workers receive fair and equal treatment.
